Coaching
An executive coach is a qualified professional who works with individuals – usually more senior executives, but also high potential employees – to help them gain self-awareness, clarify goals, achieve their development objectives, unlock their potential, and to act as a sounding board.
Niall completed his Association of Coaching Diploma in Executive and Leadership Coaching in 2019. He has a particular focus on the following but is open to working with all:
- Senior fundraisers, management and CEOs in charities in Ireland: these can be lonely roles at times and coaching can help greatly
- Leaders and senior leaders in professionally run sporting bodies
- Business leaders planning to sell a business or those who have done so and would benefit from taking stock and exploring the bigger picture and next steps. Family businesses are a particular interest.
Feedback from clients thus far includes:
“Working with Niall provided an opportunity to reflect and provided a form of mindfulness. It’s not every day you get the undivided attention of another person where you have permission to talk about yourself and talk about things you rarely would”
“This is a conversation I haven’t had with my manager but one that I wish I had had”.
Pro-bono coaching is provided on occasion for fundraisers in the charity sector working for smaller charities.
Mentoring
Niall in 2020 became a Mentor on the ‘For Purpose’ not for profit graduate programme run by 2Into3. On this programme he provides one-to-one mentoring sessions with graduate trainees. They work in a variety of fundraising and communications roles. Leading charity organisations are involved in this innovative programme. He is also part of a Mentor panel for South Dublin County Partnership’s Social Entrepeneurs programme.
Separately
Niall can provide an individual in your charity with a dedicated
fundraising mentoring service or a hybrid mentoring / coaching option
reflective of the particular needs of the individual and the
organisation.
